Personal Training Options

Private Personal Training in Seattle – Choose the Right Fit

Not every training environment is the right environment. At Davis Fitness Method, we built three distinct service options because we know that what works for a 28-year-old recovering from a shoulder injury looks different from what works for a 45-year-old executive trying to add muscle without wrecking their joints. Every option at our studio is built around the same foundation: pain-free, progressive training with a certified coach who actually knows your name.

Our Training Services

Semi-Private Personal Training

Our flagship service is semi-private training in groups of 4 to 6 people. You get a coach’s eyes on you every session, a custom program written for your body and your goals, and the accountability of training alongside other serious people – without paying one-on-one rates.Sessions run 60 minutes, scheduled up to four times per week depending on your package. Every program is built from an initial movement assessment so we understand how you move before we ever load a barbell. From there, your coach adjusts weekly based on how your body is responding. This option includes unlimited online coaching support between sessions, access to our educational portal, and nutrition guidance so your training and your diet are working in the same direction.

Who is this for?

Semi-private training is the right fit if you want expert coaching and real accountability, prefer training around other motivated people, and want results that come from a structured program – not random workouts you found online.

One-on-one Personal Training

For clients who want complete focus and maximum customization, one-on-one sessions give you a coach who is entirely in your corner for every minute of your session. No other clients. No shared attention. Your program, your pace, your goals.

This is where we work with clients who have chronic pain, complex injuries, significant postural imbalances, or specific athletic goals that require a precision approach. Our coaches are trained to modify around limitations without stopping progress – so an old knee injury or a bad back doesn’t mean you’re stuck doing easy workouts forever.

Who is this for?

One-on-one is the right fit if you’re dealing with an injury history, you’ve tried group fitness and it hasn’t produced results, you want the fastest possible progress, or you simply prefer a private, focused environment.

VIP Open Gym

Our VIP Open Gym is not a standard gym membership. There are no crowds, no waiting for equipment, and no noise. Members train independently using a personalized program written by one of our coaches, with full access to the facility during available hours.Membership is by interview only. We keep the environment intentionally small so every member has space to train the way they need to.Available add-on’s with membership: a custom training plan, optional nutrition plan, and access to our educational resources. This option suits experienced lifters who know how to execute a program independently but want access to a quality facility and the structure of a professionally designed plan.

Who is this for?

VIP Open Gym is the right fit if you’re an experienced, self-motivated trainer who doesn’t need coaching every session but wants a premium training environment and a program that’s built for you – not copied from a template.

Online Coaching

Not in Seattle, or prefer to train on your own schedule? Our online coaching program delivers the same quality of programming as our in-person services, adapted for wherever you train. We offer three tracks: nutrition coaching only (covering meal timing, macros, calories, and supplementation), exercise programming only, or combined exercise and nutrition coaching for clients who want the full picture.Online coaching clients receive a custom program, weekly check-ins with their coach, form review via video, and access to our client portal. You’re not getting a generic app with generic workouts – you’re getting a real coach paying attention to your specific progress and adjusting accordingly.

Who is this for?

Online coaching works for clients outside Seattle, busy professionals who travel frequently, or anyone who prefers the flexibility of home or commercial gym training with a structured program behind them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to start?

No. Most of our clients start as beginners or after long gaps away from training. We run a movement assessment before your first session to understand how you move, what your limitations are, and what your goals look like in practice. The program we build for you starts where you actually are – not where you think you should be.

What makes Davis Fitness Method different from a regular gym?

This is a private studio, not a commercial gym. There are no day-pass crowds, no one claiming the squat rack for 45 minutes, and no trainers running three clients at once. Every person here is working with a coach or on a coach-written program. The environment is intentional, and the coaching is accountable.

I have a bad back / old knee injury / shoulder problems. Can I still train?

Yes – and honestly, this is where we do some of our best work. Pain-free training is a core part of how we coach. We build programs around limitations, not in spite of them. Many clients come to us specifically because other gyms or trainers made their issues worse. We take a conservative, assessment-first approach that keeps you progressing without aggravating existing problems. Some unique scenarios may require clearance from a medical professional before training.

How do I know which service is right for me?

Start a conversation with us. Call (206) 790-1169, email  , or fill out the form on Start Personal Training. We’ll ask a few questions about your goals, history, and schedule, and recommend the option that fits. There’s no pressure – we’d rather put you in the right program than the most expensive one.
